The “Mother Club”! Montgomery is the site of the first off-campus Tuskegee Alumni Club. As from its beginning, the Club’s mission and goals are to recruit and assist students financially
And to unite alumni to promote the goals of the University as well as offer financial support. MTAC offers scholarships and financial assistance to students in the Montgomery metropolitan area. MTAC is a member of the Tuskegee National Alumni Association (TNAA) and the Southeastern Region (SER).

As from its beginning, the Club’s mission and goal is to recruit and assist students financially, and recruit and unite alumni. Montgomery-Tuskegee Alumni Club holds fundraisers to provide scholarships, support Tuskegee University financially, and to promote the goals of the University, when needed. Montgomery-Tuskegee Alumni Club is a member of the Tuskegee National Alumni Association (TNAA) and the Southeastern Region (SER).
The Montgomery-Tuskegee Alumni Club (MTAC), also known as the “Mother Club”, is dedicated to continuing the legacy of Ms. Ida M. Abercrombie who established the first off-campus Tuskegee Alumni Club. Due to her vision, MTAC has been providing financial assistance to Montgomery area students since 1905. Our focus is on recruiting students from the Montgomery metropolitan area who want to attend Tuskegee University, then to assist those students financially with scholarships and/or emergency assistance funds. The Mother Club also assists the University, when needed, with career fairs to help increase student enrollment. MTAC also recruits and identifies local alumni to help with fundraising, to increase alumni giving, and to unite alumni as advocates of the mission and goals of Tuskegee University. The Montgomery-Tuskegee Alumni Club is dedicated to helping “Mother Tuskegee” and students in need of financial assistance. Alumni clubs play an integral part in bringing together local alumni and supporters to support our students and Tuskegee University. We are a dedicated group of alumni who work tirelessly for the betterment of our University and the welfare of our students. This is why the Montgomery-Tuskegee Alumni Club is considered as one of the best Clubs in the alumni association. Come and join us today!
MTAC’s purpose is to ensure that potential students and the community are aware of the exceptional educational opportunities at Tuskegee University. We want to ensure that our world renowned “Tuskegee University” maintains its status as a premier institution and is always at the forefront when recruiting students and alumni. As alumni, we are dedicated to ensuring that Tuskegee University maintains its standing as one of the top three HBCU’s in the country. Our purpose continues to be recruitment and financial assistance for both students and the University. Tuskegee University is the “Pride of the swift growing south”, and working together, we can sustain, promote, and preserve our legacy for generations to come through our fundraising efforts, recruitment of students and alumni in the Montgomery area.
The Montgomery-Tuskegee Alumni Club’s main goals include working to provide financial assistance to Tuskegee University, our student recruits from the Montgomery area, and to motivate and unite area alumni to increase giving to the University. These goals are accomplished through rigorous fundraising events throughout the year, membership engagement activities, and continued marketing to help increase our scholarship fund. MTAC works with the Office of Student Financial Services to ensure that those students in need of financial assistance from the Montgomery area can receive financial help.

Over the past years MTAC has helped hundreds of students. We pay it forward by providing financial assistance to Montgomery area students who want to attend Tuskegee University.
